National Planning Commission, UN Women, ILO and IIDS successfully completed a Gender and Economics training at Dhulikhel from 2nd May to 4th May 2023.

Participants from different government agencies, workers and employer organizations attended the sessions and gave presentations on generating consensus on policy drivers and identified strategic recommendations, which were based on ILO’s 5R framework for Decent Care Work (recognize, reduce, redistribute, reward and represent care workers and unpaid work).

Participants highlighted the need to have disaggregated data on care, build common understanding, change required in social norms through awareness-raising campaigns and increase in investments in care policies and infrastructures.
