Mr. Abyaya Neopane is an Economist at IIDS with several years of experience in research, data analysis and public policy. Prior to this, he worked as a Research Associate to the Vice-chair (Dr. Swarnim Wagle) at the National Planning Commission (NPC), Government of Nepal. In the aftermath of the 2015 earthquake, he worked as a Research Analyst in the Post Disaster Needs Assessment led by NPC. He has co/authored a number of reports, policy briefs and studies such as baseline report on Sustainable Development Goals for Province 1 and Karnali Province, and on issues such as services trade, WTO's LDC waiver and the public transportation syndicate. He is also the co-author of the book "Jobs, Investment and The Economic Structure", by Dr. Swarnim Wagle.
Mr. Neopane holds an MSc. degree in Economics from the University of Warwick and also is a recipient of the prestigious Chevening Scholarship.
