Mr. Dongol completed Master in Development Studies from Kathmandu University. Previously, he has been involved in different projects such as “Local Governance Action Research” of The Asia Foundation and “Policy Reform Initiative Project” of International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI). He has been involved in various research activities and has published papers in Agricultural Economics Research Review and Nepal Tourism Development Review. His research interests include tourism, agriculture, remittance, migration, and development economics.

Currently, he is leading the NepStat database project, an initiative of IIDS to make time-series data of Nepal openly available. He is a data enthusiast with expertise in data management and interactive data visualization. As an ODI registered trainer certified by Open Data Institute, London, UK, he has conducted numerous open data trainings.
