Shahidur Rashid is the Director for South Asia, International Food Policy Research Institute, New Delhi. A native of Bangladesh, he received his Master of Social Science in Economics from Chittagong University, Bangladesh in 1987 and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1999.
