World Bank in collaboration with Institute for Integrated Development Studies (IIDS) organised a high-level joint visit to Surkhet on March 2-3, 2023. The objectives of the visit were:
(i) Meeting key stakeholders at the provincial and local level and understood the challenges and opportunities faced in local development in the Karnali province.
(ii) Organized a dissemination event of several World Bank analytical reports, including the October 2022 Nepal Development Update (NDU) and September 2022 Country Climate and Development Report (CCDR)
(iii) Discussed issues identified in our analytical studies with local authorities and communities to inform future possible engagements.
