Setting the Agenda for NEXT NEPAL
An Interaction Session with Youth Leaders
On February 6, 2026, the Institute for Integrated Development Studies (IIDS) successfully hosted the third iteration of Niti Daudaha 2082 under the theme “Setting the Agenda for Next Nepal.” Bringing together youth leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and sector experts, the event created a vibrant platform for evidence-based dialogue on Nepal’s economic future—moving beyond political rhetoric and focusing on practical solutions for long-term growth.
Discussions explored Nepal’s evolving “new normal” of economic slowdown, structural stagnation, and rising outmigration, while identifying high-potential sectors such as IT services, healthcare, accounting, and e-commerce as emerging engines of growth. The dialogue centered on unlocking private investment, generating quality employment, strengthening service exports, and creating policy frameworks that support innovation and competitiveness.
The key message was clear: with stronger policy clarity, regulatory stability, skills development, and strategic ambition, Nepal can transform its digital momentum, cost advantages, and human capital into sustainable economic opportunity. Niti Daudaha 2082 reaffirmed IIDS’s commitment to shaping actionable policy conversations and setting the agenda for a more productive and resilient Next Nepal.
