Policy Study on Supply and Use of Blended Fertilizers in Nepal

The study assessed the prioritized blended fertilizer products, demand forecast, sites details, cost of blending, distribution mechanism, public-private involvement modality, subsidy modality on the fertilizer blends, farmers usages and economic benefits, and the quality control mechanism of blended fertilizers. The study involved series of consultations with key stakeholders including Ministries, IFDC, STCL, AICL, the private sector, traders and farmer, USAID, and the food security donors’ groups. These deliberations were instrumental in shaping the outcome of the study.
