This study examines how digital trade regulations in Nepal are implemented and experienced by firms in practice. Moving beyond the existence of laws and policies, it focuses on firm-level awareness, compliance challenges, and adaptation strategies across key areas such as data governance, e-commerce, digital payments, FDI, and ICT trade. Using a mixed-methods approach grounded in the Digital Trade Integration (DTI) framework, the study generates evidence on gaps between regulatory intent and real-world outcomes, and offers policy-relevant recommendations to strengthen Nepal’s digital trade integration and competitiveness.
