This study aims to understand the role of agri-food systems, transport, energy, and climate finance in economic growth, job creation, and greenhouse gas emissions and establish priorities for tailored studies, including agri-food system diagnostics, climate vulnerability assessments, energy transition strategies, and low-carbon transport pathways.
This initiative also seeks to explore pathways for a less carbon intensive, more inclusive, and climate-resilient system under Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), assess the impact of this transitioning on employment and income distribution across disaggregated household level and evaluate the short-term and long-term tradeoff on economy as a whole with CGIAR foresight analysis and modeling systems. This initiative also includes capacity building and knowledge transfer regarding CGIAR foresight modelling tools to national stakeholders.
