The International Food Policy Institute (IFPRI) annually publishes the Global Food Policy Report (GFPR), highlighting contemporary policy issues impacting our food and agricultural systems. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and climate crisis, food systems are increasingly vulnerable. The report examines the impacts of recent food crises and methods for improved crisis response.
This year, with support from the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), IFPRI partenered with the Institute for Integrated Development Studies (IIDS) to host the 2023 GFPR South Asia launch discussion, Rethinking Food Crisis Responses.
The event was successfully completed in Kathmandu, Nepal, on June 19 and 20.
