Study of Nepalese Diaspora’s Demography in US

This is an extensive study on Nepali diaspora living in the US. IIDS, in partnership with the Embassy of Nepal in the US and The Asia Foundation conducted this study. This study aimed to map and investigate the lived experience of the Nepali diaspora in the United States of America to provide evidence that can inform policy changes. Objectives of the study included to establish a baseline study on the state of Nepali diaspora, and identify potential opportunities for engagement and partnership between the US and diaspora in Nepal’s vision for prosperity and development. It also aimed to engage with the Nepali diaspora in the US more proactively, whereby this study would inform and support to build better dialogue and networking between the US based Nepali diaspora and the Government of Nepal.
